I enter several cages with wolves and wolf dogs of the sanctuary. The wolves were taken off bred into domestication and later abandoned; in almost all cases their abandonment was related to an inability to adapt fully to domesticity.
Inside a caged limbo, these species also cannot re-integrate with nature. My symbolic gesture to sit with them is an attempt to mirror between us the struggles of civic/industrial/colonial domination. My specie as perpetrator, but self-inflicting non the less.
